Enumclaw's Payton Agnew focused on the strike zone at the
2009 State Championships

For Little League players, parents and coaches sometimes winning is everything.
"We want the players to grow personally and have fun doing it. If we can win most of our regular games during the regular season then we can have an opportunity to win a State Championship where the real fun and excitement is for everyone involved."
- coach Adam
"Payton really has stepped up her pitching game training at LFA Academy with professional pitching coach Adam la Serna. We did not expect her to do this well so fast! Payton's speed has improved and her location on her movement pitches are very good. After a couple weeks of instruction and working out some "bad habits" Payton really took off! I like the training journal approach Adam uses in his training camps. Payton is able to translate on her own what she is learning by writing down her instructions and using the notebook to create a vision and setting goals for what she wants to accomplish..."
-dad-coach Paul Agnew
"Payton has literally knocked my socks off! That doesn't happen all the time at LFA, maybe most of the time with someone coming in with natural talent and is self motivated like Payton. She works harder than most pitchers her age and older. I think she enjoys the learning process and knows when she's had enough of me pushing her...yes, she knows she is not going to improve without some motivation to get her to the next level every time she steps into the LFA Training Cage. After fine tuning her wind-up and release work, Payton has become a technician of sorts. She seems to me she understands more and more of LFA expectations not just her own. Payton has some big shoes to fill training at LFA. She sees all the great pitchers on the wall of fame here and respects the hard work they put in to be the best; payton- " I am really enjoying the training at LFA and what Adam has done with my pitching. WE work hard and always learning something new about pitches and what to do with every one. I want to be on the WALL someday as one of the best LFA pitchers."
" Every LFA pitcher gets a little anxious, nervous and excited stepping into the LFA CAGE. The intensity and focus Adam provides there is nothing we have experienced before! They know coach Adam is not going to waste their time on boring stuff. The girls actually pitch to each other in the cage and put the "game-face-on" so it is pretty amazing to see that. They go right to work and work harder and smarter than any other training academy in Washington!"

Fastpitch and High School Sports an Agnew Family Tradition
Helps to have a dedicated mom and dad as the Agnews. They are a family of rich sports tradition in the family that goes way back to the 1980's growing up in Renton,Washington. Paul and Corrie played high school sports and had an impact on their community then. If you don't know the history behind the Agnew sports family you may be in for a surprise? They were then and now today some of the most talented athletes as a family history and now it's tradition is making an impact on their community today in 2010!
"I remember becoming friends with Paul when I went to Renton High and we would meet and chat about wrestling and goals at wrestling meets and districts. I also played football against his older brother Dennis, boy did we punish each other on the field for four years, ha ha. Sports families like the Agnews and others made for some exciting competition! " coach Adam
